rePRO

Call-to-Action Conversations from the 2020 rePRO film festival features storytellers, activists and allies. These discussions are an essential part of our the rePRO mission, and are designed to spotlight the creators who dare to tell the stories about reproductive rights, to showcase the courageous advocates and to empower us all.

rePRO_Call_to_Action

rePRO a virtual film festival took place on August 12-16, 2020 and was presented by the Wichita & Cleveland based organization, mama.film.Through various lenses – and by harnessing the power of cinema as a catalyst for connection and conversation – rePRO presented by mama.film, explores the past, present, and future of women’s and AFAB people’s reproductive healthcare, awareness, advocacy and bodily integrity in America.

* Our definition of “women” includes transgender, genderqueer and non-binary people who are woman-identified.

With the rising threat to American women’s autonomy over their own bodies, we call on our audience to lift up the voices of those who are advocating for women’s reproductive justice during this vital election year, to vote accordingly and to establish a more equitable future generation to come.

ChangemakeHER Award

rePRO presents the inaugural Luminous Uterus* ChangemakeHER Award to actress and activist Martha Plimpton, for her work in fighting for women’s reproductive rights as the president/co-founder for A Is For…, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing reproductive rights and ending the stigma against abortion care. Plimpton will be the first recipient of this award, which recognizes an exceptional individual who has provided a significant contribution towards the fight for women’s reproductive healthcare, including education, awareness and activism.
